How we estimate
How is the event estimate calculated?
We start from roughly 1 unit per 50 guests for a 4-hour event and scale up for longer events. When more than half the crowd is women we add capacity, and we add about 20% if alcohol is served. ADA units are at least 5% of the total (minimum one), and we suggest about 1 hand-wash station for every 4 restrooms.
How is the construction estimate calculated?
We start from 1 unit per 10 workers over a standard 40-hour week. Per OSHA guidance we recommend 2–3 hand-wash stations and 1–2 ADA units for every 10 units, and more frequent service when you run multiple shifts.
